About Me

I am a 2025 graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where I earned a B.S. in Television, Radio, and Film with a minor in Writing. My passion lies in sports media and communications, and I bring a strong foundation in both broadcast and creative storytelling.

During my time at Syracuse, I was actively involved with NCC News, A Newhouse student-run newscast. It was there that I truly discovered my love for journalism and broadcasting. I gained hands-on experience anchoring, reporting, writing scripts, editing video packages, conducting interviews, and collaborating across production roles—both behind the scenes and in front of the camera.

Outside the newsroom, I wrote published pieces for local sports and food publications, and spent two years filming Syracuse Athletics games for the ACC Network, working with both handheld and stationary cameras. I’m also skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro used extensively for editing purposes.

Beyond the scope of media, I’m a singer-songwriter, poet, cook, and certified ocean lifeguard along the Jersey Shore in the summer. I find inspiration in travel and cultural exchange, and my Greek Orthodox faith grounds me in everything I do—shaping both my personal values and my approach to storytelling.

A piece of me also carries the legacy of my aunt and namesake, Alexia Tsairis, a former photojournalism student at Newhouse who was among the 35 Syracuse University students tragically lost in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 while returning home from a semester abroad. Her passion for journalism and storytelling lives on in the work I do today. Being part of the Newhouse community, just as she once was, has been deeply meaningful, both personally and professionally.

At the core of my work is a commitment to truth, clarity, and connection. I strive to bring a smile and a genuine voice to every story I tell.
